Your huckleberry in Aircraft Leasing.

Students & Parents

In the past, parents and students had to choose between purchasing an aircraft for flight training or enrolling in a flight school.

We offer an alternative:

An aircraft lease, tailored to students and their parents who may need it for only a short season. In addition, we offer to set you up with one of our vetted, in-house Certified Flight Instructors and coordinate all operating costs for the aircraft.

Lease Structure for Parents & Students:

Our aircraft lease structures for students and parents are optimized for cost and simplicity. At its core, our aircraft leases start with a fixed fee, rather than an hourly use fee. Much like renting a home, you pay an unchanging fee for the right to use the aircraft as much as you want, acting as the sole 'tenant' of the aircraft during the lease period.

Utility Fee:

Further expanding the home tenant illustration, we have a 'utility' fee that funds a reserve escrow account for large maintenance events, such as engine overhauls or parachute repacks. This payment is placed in an aircraft-specific escrow account to ensure you don't have added major maintenance or system failure costs or delays. We are fully transparent about the breakdown of the 'utility' fee cost, and can provide details on how it is spent.

Problems with modern flight training:

The current flight training can be incredibly cost-prohibitive for the average prospective pilot, so much so that many student pilots (or their parents) purchase an aircraft in an effort to offset the cost. Unfortunately, this rarely achieves the goal of the buyer, because they do not understand all the responsibilities, coordination, and upkeep of owning an aircraft. Additionally, most flight schools are priced and structured in a way that students are fighting for flight time, have delayed examiner dates, and have multiplied financial stress.

Why lease an aircraft to earn ratings and build time:

Our student & parent-friendly lease programs are tailored to reduce the stress and increase the autonomy of flight training.

  • No waitlists to begin training or time building.

  • Learn to own/manage an aircraft in stages.

  • Earning a Pilot Rating is more cost-effective than any flight school training in a comparable aircraft.

  • Higher priority of service from your flight instructor.

  • Greater independence and flexibility of schedule with aircraft.

  • Short-term leases, friendly to

  • Not constrained to a region of the U.S., able to fly the aircraft across the country if desired.
